20. Fruit…

We are about to embark on an amazing journey together. We will discover great things; we will wander through magnificence and despair to discover the extraordinary person God intended each of us to be:
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him
1 Corinthians 2:9
God created each of us with a life plan that is beyond our wildest dreams. My plan is not the same as yours. Both our plans will evolve throughout our lives, each part building on the last, pointing to the next. You and I were made in the image of God. We were made for magnificence, to be extraordinary.
As we begin this journey let’s not limit ourselves. Let’s be like the little red engine going up the hill moving beyond “I think I can” to “I know I can”.
I chose the title Expectant as it mirrors the journey a woman takes from before conception to birth and beyond of her child. It is the process of a tiny life being dreamed of, created, and then growing within until one day it is birthed – a new child. It is exciting, daunting, at times hard work, at others, breakthrough.
Expectant is about change from the ordinary to the exceptional. It is about the creation of something new and wonderful in our lives. So, put on your seatbelt and settle in for a rollercoaster of a ride to take that tiny seed of a dream from conception to birth.
As always there is something to pray and something to take into your day to consider and move into.
Prayer: Lord
Help us to dream big. Show us what you have prepared for us. Hold our hands in the tricky, dangerous bits. Cheer us on through the hard slog days. Celebrate with us in the victories along the way. Grant us the desires of our hearts.
Amen
