0. Love lived loud…

Love your neighbour as yourself.

Matthew 22: 39

When the disciples were choosing a new disciple to replace Judas Iscariot they cast lots – a worldly practice used to determine God’s will. In a similar vein, I used a Facebook game to discover the word God had for me for this next year and “love” came up.

But when I started to explore the occurrences of the word in the Bible, I discovered that there were 755! So, what was to be just the one journal turned into three: God is Love; Love lived Loud; and Love’s Attributes.

In this journal, Love lived Loud, we explore the Bible for what God has to say about how we are to live our daily lives as Christians by letting his love flow through us to those around us and beyond.

With each reflection, there will be prayers to pray and actions for you to consider and take into your day as well as a space for you to journal your own thoughts and what God may be saying to you.

Dear children let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God… And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.
